A company cannot be incorporated in Canada anywhere without providing a Nuans name search report or a similar name search. This is frequently the case when registering a sole proprietorship, partnership or business name as well.

A preliminary name search is a pre-check of a proposed company name, business name or sole proprietorship name before you order your full Nuans name search report or other similar name search. Having a preliminary name search done prior to ordering a full search can save money in the long run.

Prior to registering your business, the appropriate government office handling name clearances will review the name search to make sure there are no names on the report which could be considered a problem. The government in the federal jurisdiction will refuse to register a name that sounds the same as a name that is on record.

If you place an order with a search house for a Nuans name search report or similar report a preliminary name search is normally done as part of that fee. Determine in advance before ordering your name search that the preliminary name search is part of the service. A full Nuans name search must not be provided without first having a preliminary name search performed. There is was exception to this rule. If you are registering a partnership, sole proprietorship or business name and the province or territory does not require a name search then in that case you should pay separately for a preliminary name search to be done before you register your business name. I will go into this further below.

Having a Nuans name search in hand does not mean your name is going to be accepted. You should never receive a full Nuans name search report or similar name search without first having a preliminary name search performed. If the search house says this is not part of its service then you should look for another one. Any search house can order a Nuans name search but a qualified search house will pre-check the name for you to make sure you have a better chance of having your name accepted by the particular Canadian government without charging you an additional fee.

Look at it this way. A person wants to register a business called Morgan Cement Services Incorporated. The search company tells the person that there is no exact match because they do not have a policy of pre-checking names. There is actually a company registered called Morgan Cement Services Ltd. This person decides to register his business called Morgan Cement Services Incorporated and the owner of Morgan Cement Services Ltd. sees his flyers in the neighbourhood. Mr. Morgan of Morgan Cement Services Ltd. has had his business for many years and has built up a great reputation. Mr. Morgans reputation and longevity in the business gives him the ability to go court and request the court to get this person to change the name of his corporation. If you consider it, it would not be in your best interest either to have a name that is similar to another registered name.

The search house will provide the Nuans name search report or similar name search report to you by email and you should take some time to review the report to ensure for yourself that the name you wish to use is not too similar to another name already registered.

You can incorporate a company in Ontario that is different in any way. Considering the above example, the only difference is the ending of the name. Therefore it would be accepted. On the other hand if you were dealing with the federal government it would never be accepted for registration.

In Ontario and Alberta and possibly in other Canadian jurisdictions, you can register a business name, sole proprietorship or partnership without providing a Nuans name search report. This means the government will not be reviewing the name prior to registration and therefore the onus is on you to ensure you have a name different from others. In fact in Alberta and Ontario you can register a business name exactly the same as another business name.

In these cases it is a good idea to do a preliminary name search which you would need to pay for. Therefore in a case where you do not have to provide a name search report to register a business name, partnership or sole proprietorship, you should do a preliminary name search. Keep in mind that many search houses will do the preliminary name search for free if you chose their service to register your business name, however, if you have any concerns about that just write them and ask them what the policy is before you purchase.

There are several people who rely on personal background checks. As you already know, these times are very uncertain and you can never really tell if a certain individual is really trustworthy or not. And because of this, several employers and businessmen want to perform these kinds of investigations so that they can be sure. As a matter of fact, there are also several parents who are into these kinds of searches especially when they are hiring a nanny or a helper.

It is just unfortunate that there are only a few people who can perform some personal background checks. And because of this, they just opt to hire the services of a private investigator. In several ways, they are really very effective because they are already used to these kinds of investigations. However, you should also be aware that you will still have to deal with their very high professional fees.

And because of this, it is still much better if you are going to do it on your own. At first, you may have just thought of going to the different government agencies such as the statistics office, courthouses, and the likes. Unfortunately, conducting simple personal background checks through this method can be very inconvenient.

The only problem is that you will still have to go through a very frustrating and rigorous process. First, you will still have to fill out some forms, and depending on the agency, you will still have to pay some fees. And if the agency is not yet computerized, you may still have to wait for long hours because the still need to search through their archives.

And because of these hassles, it is really much better if you are going to search through the internet. There are actually several sites that offer these kinds of service and you might want to try them out. As a matter for fact, some of them are even being offered for free.

But if you do, you have to make sure that you will be more careful. As you already know, free portals are very susceptible to various errors and pop-out messages. And worse, they can also be carriers of some virus and spyware.

If you want to perform some reliable personal background checks, it is recommended that you use an exclusive site. This way, you are assured that you getting the best service there is.

With these fee-based tools, you can learn about a particular individual’s birth certificate, criminal records, and a whole lot more. With these premium portals, reliable personal background checks are very much possible.

Do you have this inexplicable hatred to the bearded guy hired by the wicked woman (with an equally evil laugh) in soap operas? Here, the woman antagonist usually hires this bearded guy to investigate on something. And if the poor guy failed, he usually gets a tsunami of maledictions and beatings. Such an unjust and poor characterization! Well, he is not as bad as what his beard connotes; he is in reality none other than, our Private Investigator (P. I.). We normally loathe on these guys for siding with the villains, but actually, the media is not just a narrator in explaining who a real P.I. is. So now, as our T.V. mates (a.k.a. family) chew their pop-corns and watch how the investigator finds relevant data, let us turn our eyes on the investigator himself. Let us cut the fuss and be investigators ourselves.

Investigators, contrary how the media impersonates them, are not composed of a one-man band. They are usually a team of individuals that came from various fields of expertise. They include policemen, attorneys, medical practitioners, and forensic anthropologists. We are already quite familiar with the three professions enumerated so we will just focus on the last one, the forensic anthropologist. In a nut-shell, forensic anthropologists specialize on corpses. They are the gurus when it comes to that “cold” subject. They learned about these dead subjects not only in their classrooms but mostly in fields. That is why these investigators are not all used to deskbound and boring lectures; they are more into action! This is the reason why brooding has been a hobby to them; their experiences on the field let them breathe bravery everyday. At the end of the day, they may still look like typical guys but beware; their ability are just outrageously amazing!

Our Forensic Anthropologists do not work in an 8 am to 5 pm work period. As I have said earlier, their atelier is situated on where arcane corpses lay. Though they are not normally wearing a gentle-looking coat and tie, their work are not done in a sloppy manner. Their hands should always be in cogitation. One ataxic moment and boom! The precious bone might be destroyed. So rummaging has been deleted from their dictionary; gentleness has been the mantra (so as not to break any important bone). After the nerve-wracking procedure of digging bones (if ever they are buried), the next step is careful scrutiny. The next steps are just equally perspiring: identification of age, race, stature, sex, and time interval of death. After this tedious process, the piece of paper bearing all these details will now be passed to another member of the “band” (of Private Investigators).

If at this point you stopped your research about private investigators and assume that their job is easy, then you are definitely left behind on our investigation. It is because you have not yet found of the “perks” of being one. And these “perks” include one of the following:

1) Work period is indefinite; it last till you see the body/bones;

2) Eureka moments are frequently preceded by sleepless nights on locations with bugging mosquitoes;

3) If things loose control, you are not excused from occasional raids;

And ultimately, when you believe the job will not get dirtier, here is another perk:

4) Trauma may also attack you after being able to decipher how one was killed.

But then, you will also get desensitized. The latter is definitely a perk, as far as private investigation is concerned.

When you cross this seemingly end point of your investigation, then you are still left behind. It is because you have not seen them yet as an important being in real-life cases, as heroes. Yes, they also save the day with their braveness and helping hand. So the next time that we see an investigator (bearded or not) in TV, let us give them justice. They may not be around when the enemy is finally defeated, but in real life, they are heroes behind the curtains.

At this point, the case is closed.

Learn more about Private Investigators or also known as Private Detectives and see how they can help you with your seemingly impossible to solve problems!
