When information on processed foods first started becoming available many labeled it a hoax. However, as the facts come out it is causing more families to think about the source of the food they put on the table. Some are buying as much organically local food as they can find while others are starting to produce their own.

Another challenge that a lot of people find themselves facing is space. Most of us do not start off in houses with great big yards that allow us to put in a large garden or greenhouse. With that said, we are forced to find ways to grow food that is more space conscious and using raised garden beds, especially the tiered kind, takes care of this problem.

It is said that when “the times get tough the tough get going”. During the tough times of the depression there were many families that had gardens because there was no other choice. Today families do have a choice and they are choosing their health.

It is by using what we know about gardening that can bring on some pretty good ideas about incorporating raised bed kits into a year long growing plan that can be used whether you live in the city or out in the country. It will be less expensive in some ways but as with all gardening, it does take a commitment of time and resources.

One of the greatest challenges is living in the inner cities. One of the greatest things about a raised bed is you can, if you are careful, use them on stoops, balconies and decks. You need to find out the weight restrictions of the platform and use light soils to fill the bed. If the bed is too heavy, try different types of containers to create a container garden.

Use common sense when placing your bed for the fall through winter months as the sun does change position and the plants will need as much sun as they can get during this time. This will also help you with heat as well. Depending on where you live, you will need to invest in a covering of some sort. A good milled plastic will work to block out the wind and you may need to add a heater for the evenings that are below 45 degrees mark.

Unless you live in the coldest of climates, most days will be warm enough without any additional heat source. However, there will be need from time to time to provide your plants with some extra heat to keep the temperature above 40 degrees. I would suggest you do a little research to find the best method that is both cost affective and practical for your situation.

So not only is it possible to grow your own food year round, it is possible to do it in a small space. Yes, it takes effort, time and commitment but that comes with just about everything that is worthwhile in life. Figure out what works best for you and your situation and go for it. You will know it was worth it when you are eating fresh vegetables in January. Have fun!

You can find many types of easy to install recycled raised beds or other types of raised gardening kits to grow your own food.

Giving birth is an experience that is hard to put into words. It is an amazing moment but as all mothers know pregnancy is not just about a ‘glow’! Constant backache, feeling tired, morning sickness that in fact happens at any and for some unfortunates at all times of the day and then of course the dreaded stretch marks. At least the other negative ailments go away when you have your baby; stretch marks remain. No matter what size the woman or what condition her skin, pregnancy and stretch marks go hand in hand.

There are several places that they can appear, the stomach of course but also thighs, hips, legs, arms and other places. It is a problem faced by 60-90 per cent of pregnant women. They happen because of the weight gain that occurs. When the skin gets stretched beyond its natural elasticity stretch marks appear. When the skin reverts back after pregnancy the marks look like scars that are flattened.

First of all any women with dry skin need to beware, this means your stretch marks are going to be more prominent and more unsightly. Hydration is key to fighting these battle scars! Make sure you have a daily skin care routine while you are pregnant that involves using a cream or lotion and rubbing it in – focus on more prone areas such as the arms, abdomen and buttocks, but also it would be good to do it all over. When you’re heavily pregnant this gets tricky, so ask your partner to help you out. Not only is it good for your skin it will ease some aches and pains and help you relax! Possible things to use are creams with Vitamin E, and home remedies such as olive oil, cocoa butter and aloe vera gel.

Other things you can do is avoid overeating foods that have Vitamin A and make sure you drink lots of water. This will help flush out toxins and keeps your body and skin hydrated. How you eat is also very important. As well as eating healthy you also need to try and control your weight gain so that you do not gain a lot all at once. Stretch marks are particularly bad in women who gain a lot of weight at one time, so make sure you gain it steadily. Your doctor will monitor this with you.

Revitol is a company to look out for if you are looking at creams for stretch marks on the market. They are a trusted company, known for products that do what they claim to. If you are still unsure Revitol also offer a guarantee so if you feel your stretch marks are not better after applying their cream you can get your money back.

With millions of different beauty products out, and very little directions on how to use them right, it’s no wonder that many women use them incorrectly. When they are used wrong, it can easily make you look older and can even create a look that you didn’t intend on. No woman wants to look bad or wrong, especially when they are trying to look their best. Well, don’t worry any longer about trying to get the right makeup and worry about using them right as well, here are six free secrets to using basic beauty products to help you out:

Basic #1: Lip Gloss – For one of the easiest to use beauty products, it is also one that is misused more often than not. You simply have to use it sparingly and not use too much. Many women overuse their lip gloss and end up globbing it all over their lips, when all you really need is one simple, light coat to do the job. Gloss is made to help your lips look dewy, not dripping wet.

Basic #2: Lip Liners – This is one of those beauty products that is almost always used incorrectly. These should mainly be used for shading your lips and only a shade away from the lipstick that you plan to use. Don’t use them to outline a completely darker color than the rest of your lips.

Basic #3: Eye Pencils – You want to make sure that you find a soft one that will easily glide along your eyelids. Harder pencils will give you a harsh look and can hurt when you apply them. Plus, harder pencils are harder to soften when you are trying to mix colors and blend in your eyeshadow.

Basic #4: Mascara – While mascara is a staple in any woman’s beauty products bag, there are a few things that you want to keep in mind. One is that you should get the right color for your hair and skin tone so that you don’t look overly made up. And, you want to make sure that you take the time to apply it correctly so you don’t end up with bumps of mascara on your eyelashes. If you do have bumps of mascara, make sure that you brush them out quickly before they dry.

Basic #5: Eyeshadow – Here is another area where you don’t want to skim as good quality eyeshadows will mean you use less. Cheaper eyeshadows are normally lighter and you will end up using more of it. A good eyeshadow will easily blend into your other eye makeup and will give you a good, solid, complete look. You also always want to have a silvery eyeshadow as it can be used to brighten tired eyes and help with bags.

Basic #6: Color Correctors – These are only for people that have problems with ruddy complexions or broken blood vessels in their faces. Color correctors won’t help anything else, and they can actually make other blemishes noticeable. Make sure that you follow the directions on the packages.

Now that you know about these six beauty products basics and how to use them, you won’t be caught in the “don’t” section any longer. Of course, these are just basic tips on applying a few of the makeup essentials. You can check out your favorite makeup manufacturer’s web sites to find out other great tips on applying makeup like a pro.

Look for foot spray which has a lovely, cooling effect for tired feet. http://www.myadvertising1.com/?tag=lingerie A mild, abrasive foot scrub should be number one on your list. Human skin cultures are used in labs for irritant testing.
